Thomas named Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week

JF Thomas, as released by the conference office today has been named Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week, for his performances against IQ Hoops Academy and Brookhaven College during the week of January 8-14.

Against IQ Hoops, Thomas pulled down 30 rebounds and scored a team high 23 points to lead CVC to a 101-84 victory. Then in the opening game of MAC play, the Dallas native grabbed 31 rebounds, along with 18 points in a thrilling victory over Brookhaven, 103-101.

The South Oak Cliff alum currently leads the MAC in rebounds (14.1 rpg) and is second in points (19.9 ppg) and field goal percentage (62.3%).

Thomas is the second Sun to receive MAC Player of the Week honors, with Desmond Kennedy earning the accolade the week of December 4-10.
