Cedar Valley Volleyball Releases Schedule

LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's volleyball team will open the regular season Saturday, Aug. 24 in a home match against Clarendon College at 1 p.m.

The Suns, under second-year head coach Courtney Willis, will play 12 of their 22 matches at home, including the Suns Invitational Sept. 6 that will feature Nelson University, Southwestern Christian College and Lee College.

The Suns host Seminole State College on Hawaiian Night Sept. 9. Cedar Valley heads on the road for three straight matches, including a trip to Lee Sept. 14. The Suns open league play against Dallas College Richland in the Dallas Athletic Conference opener for Orange Out on Sept. 23.

Cedar Valley's first road DAC match is set for Sept. 26 at Dallas College Brookhaven. The Suns host defending National Junior College Athletic Association Division III champion Dallas College Eastfield Oct. 3 before wrapping up the first round of league play four days later at Dallas College Mountain View.

The second round of conference play begins with a trip to Richland Oct. 10. Cedar Valley hosts Brookhaven, DAC runner-up Dallas College North Lake and Mountain View Oct. 14, Oct. 17 and Oct. 24, respectively, to conclude the regular season.

The NJCAA Division III South District Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at the site of the DAC regular season champion.
