Cedar Valley Women's Soccer Season Begins Aug. 20
LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley women's soccer team will open the season at home Thursday Aug. 20 against Hill College.
The Suns, under fifth-year head coach John Antonisse, will play nine of their 17 games at home. After a trip to Cisco College, Cedar Valley returns home to play Southwestern Christian College Aug. 25 and National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Arkansas Cossatot Aug. 28.
After two road games at Southwestern Adventist University and Randall University to open September, the Suns will host Arlington Baptist University Junior Varsity in the final nonconference game before beginning the conference schedule.
Cedar Valley opens Dallas Athletic Conference action at Dallas College Eastfield Sept. 11 before returning to Lancaster to host the league runner-up for the past four years in Dallas College Richland and reigning NJCAA Division III national runner-up and nine-time reigning conference champion Dallas College Brookhaven Sept. 15 and Sept. 18, respectively. The Suns wrap up the first round of DAC play with games at Dallas College Mountain View and at home against Dallas College North Lake.
The second round of conference action runs Oct. 1 until Oct. 20 against the same five teams in sequential order. The Suns' final home game on Sophomore Day is Oct. 16 against Mountain View. They finish the regular season at North Lake Oct. 20 prior to the NJCAA South District Tournament to be played at the site of the DAC regular season champion.
