Three Suns Earn Second Team All-DAC Honors
DALLAS – Dallas College Cedar Valley women's soccer's Celeste Gonzalez, Maeve Thompson and Claire Rodriguez received Second Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference honors.
A sophomore defender, Gonzalez had four goals and three assists for 11 points. She had the gamewinning goal and two assists in a 4-1 win over Dallas College Mountain View. She also helped the Suns post two shutouts.
A freshman defender, Thompson was a key on the back line that registered the two clean sheets.
A sophomore forward, Rodriguez had a goal and an assist. She scored in a 4-1 win over Dallas College Eastfield.
Victory Oyoyo Peter and Olivia Reyna were named Honorable Mention All-DAC.
A sophomore forward, Oyoyo Peter scored a career-high five goals, and had two assists for 12 points. She scored the gamewinning goal in a 1-0 win over National Junior College Athletic Association Division II Arkansas Cossatot. She also scored in three straight DAC games. She was the DAC Player of the Week in September.
A sophomore goalkeeper, Reyna had two shutouts, and had two wins and two ties with a 1.21 goals against average in her seven starts. She was named the NJCAA Division III Goalkeeper of the Week and the DAC Goalkeeper of the Week in back-to-back weeks in September.
