Bio

Jasmine Cannon was named an assistant women's basketball coach at Dallas College Cedar Valley in the summer of 2026.

She assists with player development, team operations and administrative duties.

Cannon has been a personal trainer for men's and women's players with ProLyfe Skills Training in the Dallas area, working with a number of players who've gone on to play at four-year and two-year schools. She was an assistant coach at Lakeview Centennial High School (Texas) from 2016-18.

She played collegiately at Texas Southern University and Grand Canyon University. Cannon finished her career at TSU as the all-time assist leader with 257 from 2008-11. She had at least 100 assists in two seasons at TSU. She spent one season at GCU in 2012-13, starting in half of the 32 games she appeared in. She finished her college career with 1,014 points and 341 assists at the two schools. 

Cannon earned her bachelor's degree from Texas Southern University in kinesiology in 2012 and a Master of Science in leadership from Grand Canyon University in 2015.
