Balthazar Named DAC Player of Week
IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's Thamerin Balthazar has been named the Dallas Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.
It is the second time this season she's won the award.
A 5-foot-6 freshman guard from Alexandria, Louisiana, Balthazar led all scorers with 19 points, hitting three big three-pointers, in a 58-54 win at No. 13 Dallas College Richland. She was 6 for 11 at the free throw line, and had two assists, a rebound and a steal as the 10th-ranked Suns captured the Dallas Athletic Conference championship.
Balthazar is averaging 11.9 points and 1.7 steals per game, while shooting 31 percent from the 3-point line and 70.7 percent from the free throw line.
