No. 9 Suns Hit Road Twice Before Hosting Holy Patriot Tuesday

Dallas College Cedar Valley women's basketball will take its No. 9 National Junior College Athletic Association Division III ranking into the weekend for a pair of road games, beginning Thursday night before finishing up the 2022 portion of the schedule with a home game Tuesday.

The Suns (5-2) play at Dallas Christian College 6 p.m. Thursday and at Southwestern Adventist University 6:30 p.m. Sunday. They return home 6 p.m. Tuesday to host Holy Patriot University before breaking for the holidays until Jan. 3 when they begin a two-game homestand over a week.

Cedar Valley is coming off a 54-43 win at Southwestern Christian College Saturday to avenge one of its two losses this season to the same team.

Freshman guard Shandrea Yeldell is averaging 16.4 points, four assists and 3.6 steals per game.  Sophomore guard Nakia Brumley is scoring 15.3 points, while dishing out 3.6 assists and coming up with 2.7 steals per contest. Sophomore center Sierra Headquist is averaging 12.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and two steals per game.

The Suns are 2-0 on the road this season, and are averaging 70.3 points per game.
