Esports' Ajani Prepares for Spring NBA 2K Playoffs

Dallas College Cedar Valley's Aahil Ajani will begin defense of his 2022 National Junior College Athletic Association esports NBA 2K Fall Open championship as he sets his sights on the Spring NBA 2K23 Open title next week.

Ajani, "HyperCrazeTTV" will meet Dawson Community College's "ContentLhasapoo7757" at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 15 to open the spring playoffs.

"We will go into the postseason as the defending champion, but we will prepare like we are the underdogs," Suns coach Marcus Woodard said.

Ajani went 7-0 in the spring regular season.

A sophomore gamer, Ajani, who attends Dallas College Brookhaven, is advancing to his third straight NJCAAe playoffs. He's competed in the previous two finals, dating back to a year ago when Dallas College introduced esports.

Ajani was the 2022 Spring NBA 2K runner-up before becoming Dallas College's first esports national champion.
