Cuotto, McIver Selected to All-Star Games

DALLAS -- Dallas College Cedar Valley baseball players Julio Cuotto and Drake McIver were selected to participate in the Texas-New Mexico Junior College Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Games Friday and Saturday at Dallas Baptist University.

A third baseman from Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, Cuotto batted .327 with 17 doubles, 31 RBI, five stolen bases, 40 runs scored and 29 walks as a freshman. He had 13 multi-hit games, belting a season-best four hits with two RBI against Dallas College North Lake last year.

McIver, a right-handed pitcher from Royse City, Texas, was 5-6 with a 5.15 earned run average and 54 strikeouts in 15 starts last season.
