Suns Baseball Opens Season Jan. 31
CEDAR VALLEY BASEBALL SCHEDULE
LANCASTER, Texas – Dallas College Cedar Valley's baseball team will open the season Jan. 31 at Hill College.
The Suns' home opener is set for Feb. 14 in a doubleheader against Hesston College. It is the start of an eight-game homestand for Cedar Valley over two weekends with four doubleheaders – the latter two against Redlands Community College.
Cedar Valley begins Dallas Athletic Conference play at Dallas College Eastfield Feb. 26 before hosting the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III runner-up for the final two games of the series. Following a three-game set with Dallas College North Lake, the Suns play a pair of twin bills at Arlington Baptist University Junior Varsity and a nonconference road game at Hill College March 17. They begin a three-game series at defending NJCAA South Central District Tournament champion Dallas College Richland March 19. That culminates an eight-game road swing.
Cedar Valley hosts Dallas College Brookhaven March 26 and Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa March 31. The Suns finish the first round of DAC play with a series against Dallas College Mountain View – the final two games at home April 4-5. Following a road trip to Paris Junior College April 7, the Suns host Eastfield two days later to begin the second round of conference games. They host North Lake on back-to-back days April 17-18 to finish one series before beginning another at home against Richland April 23.
The Suns' final nonconference opponent is Dallas Christian College, whom they'll play a doubleheader on the road April 28. They finish a three-game series with Brookhaven May 2-3 in a pair of home games. Cedar Valley hosts Mountain View May 7 in the final home game before concluding the regular season against the Lions on the road May 9-10.
The NJCAA Division III district tournament is May 14-17 at the site of the DAC champion.
