Volleyball Faces Mountain View on Sophomore Night

The CVC Volleyball Team will begin a three game home stand this week, when they face the Mountain View College Lions on Thursday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m.

This will also be "Sophomore Night" for the Lady Suns, as they honor defensive specialist Morgan Mauk.

During the 2015 season she also led the Lady Suns in digs with 258 (2.48 per set), along with registering 178 kills for second best on the team, as well as being the only member of the team to play in all 33 matches.

This season, Morgan is averaging 3.54 digs per set for CVC.

The Lady Suns have fallen in four of their last five matches, with their last outing being a 3-1 loss to North Lake College. Brenda Duran registered 10 kills and 17 digs, while Carsyn Ivy notched 19 assists and five digs. Mauk had a team high 18 digs.

In CVC's last meeting with Mountain View, the Lady Suns came away with a 3-1 victory behind strong performances from Duran and Ivy.
