Volleyball Turned Back by North Lake

The CVC Volleyball Team were defeated in Metro Athletic Conference play, falling to the North Lake College Blazers, 3-1.

After jumping out and taking a 1-0 lead in the first set (25-21), the Lady Suns were unable to keep the momentum dropping the next three sets (24-26, 18-25, 14-25) to the Blazers.

Brenda Duran had yet another double-double performance with 10 kills and 17 digs, while Carsyn Ivy notched 19 assists and five digs.

Morgan Mauk dug out 18 balls, with Jazlyn Pipkins engineering a stat line of eight kills, six blocks, and seven digs.

Next up for the Lady Suns, they will honor their upperclassmen on "Sophomore Night", this Thursday against Mountain View College.
