Castillo and Rogers named NJCAA Players of the Week

Jose Castillo and Billy Rogers, as announced by the national office have been named NJCAA Position Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for their play against Richland in their Dallas Athletic Conference series opener during the week of February 18-24.  

In the three-game set versus Richland, Castillo tallied four RBIs, four runs, with a .500 batting average, while two-way player Rogers stepped in to pitch two innings for the Suns tossing five strikeouts earning the save on the way to a Suns' series victory. 

This is Castillo's second Player of the Week award this season and Rogers' third since being at Cedar Valley. CVC resumes action this week in a series against Mountain View.
