Rogers Named NJCAA DIII National Position Player of the Week
Cedar Valley College freshman, Billy Rogers was named NJCAA DIII Baseball Position Player of the Week for his play during February 19-25, as announced by the national office today.
In Cedar Valley's first Metro Athletic Conference series of the season, Rogers generated a stat line of three home runs, six RBIs, five runs scored, and a batting average of .454 en route to the Suns' series win over Richland College.
So far this season, Rogers currently leads CVC in runs (14), hits (15-T), home runs (12), and RBIs (12), and slugging percentage (.784).
CVC will continue MAC action this week when they face the Mountain View Lions in a three-game slate.
