Frailey and Broussard Named Metro Athletic Conference Players of the Week

Shannon Broussard and Tylor Frailey, as released by the conference office today have been named Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week for their performances against Eastfield College during the week of April 9-15.

Shannon Broussard, claimed his third MAC Pitcher of the Week accolade, after throwing four strikeouts and allowing only one earned run on seven hits in eight innings pitched during CVC's 6-3 game one series victory against EFC. Broussard battled through 33 hitters to improve his season record to 7-1. The Baytown native is tied for fourth in the NJCAA in wins from the mound.

Tylor Frailey, helped lead the Suns to their second MAC series sweep of the season, after batting .600 during the three-game set with the Harvesters. Frailey showcased a stunning .714 on-base percentage and tallied seven runs, six hits, three doubles. The Midlothian native currently leads the NJCAA in runs with 53.

CVC continues Metro Athletic Conference action this Wednesday when they face North Lake College.
