Broussard named Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week

Shannon Broussard, as released by the conference office today has been named Metro Athletic Conference Player of the Week, for his performance against Angelina College during the week of February 12-18.

Against Angelina, Broussard threw six innings tallying up five strikeouts, allowing only six hits, two earned runs, and a walk in the 5-4 victory. The second-year Sun faced a total of 27 batters.

Cedar Valley will begin Metro Athletic Conference action this Wednesday, when they travel to face Brookhaven College.
